Welcome to Drawshield!

Hello Folks!

The purpose of this blog is to keep you updated with the Drawshield Heraldry Program. Drawshield draws shields from their blazon, or heraldic description. You simply type (or paste) a heraldic description into a text box, click on the "Draw!" button and Drawshield will create your shield as an image. Drawshield is not limited to simple shields but can draw some quite sophisticated and complex shields, take a look at the examples provided.

You can try out Drawshield for yourself at shield.karlwilcox.com.

The Drawshield source code is available under an Apache 2.0 licence at code.google.com/p/drawshield/, where you will also find a growing body of documentation in the associated wiki.

Release notes, ideas and all the latest DrawShield news will be found right here in this blog. Subscribe so you don't miss out!

Best regards to all,

Karl
